Overview
GEDO Doc System
GEDO IMS System

These Trimble GEDO systems enable the acquisition and verification of relative track geometry information.

Depending on the selected system, the relevant parameters such as track gauge, cant (superelevation) and twist, and also the horizontal and vertical curvature are captured.

The systems are suitable for measuring both, short sections and longer sections of track. The measurements can be carried out without complete track closures impacting railway revenue services.

Simple track geometry tests can be carried out with the GEDO Doc system. For a full track geometry inspection in accordance with EN 13848-4, the GEDO IMS system can be used.

The Trimble GEDO Doc system consists of the Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolley, and a Trimble control unit.

The system enables simple track geometry control by measuring the basic track quality parameters. The cant (superelevation), track gauge and twist are recorded as a function of the chainage. Live results of measured track geometry values are shown in the field software user interface. Important track positions can be recorded and coded quickly.

The Trimble GEDO Doc system can be extended with a Trimble GEDO Profiler. In this system configuration, distances and height differences to nearby control points, platform edges and other objects of interest close to the track can also be measured and checked.

The Trimble GEDO IMS system consists of the

Trimble GEDO CE 2.0 track measurement trolley,

a Trimble GEDO IMU, and a Trimble control unit.

The system enables complete track geometry control. All relevant parameters such as cant (superelevation), track gauge and twist, as well as the horizontal and vertical curvature are recorded as a function of the chainage. The system is EN 13848-4 compliant.
